Manhattan has, for much of the piano’s history, been at the epicenter of the instrument’s industry and musical culture. While servicing pianos here, we regularly encounter the legacy of Steinway & Sons’ earliest years—Steinway was originally based in Manhattan before opening its flagship factory in Astoria, Queens—as well as the incredible instruments of Mason & Hamlin, Chickering, Knabe, Sohmer, Hardman, and many more companies that maintained storefronts in the borough throughout the Golden Age of Piano Manufacturing. Thanks to NYC’s international draw, we also have deep experience servicing world-class instruments built in other great piano-making centers, including Yamaha and Kawai from Japan, Bechstein and Blüthner from Germany, Bösendorfer from Austria, and Fazioli from Italy.

Still an epicenter of music today, Manhattan is home to everyone from aspiring musicians and students with instruments in their homes to some of the world’s most renowned concert halls and venues.
